You may already know Refinery29โ€™s Money Diariesโ€ฆ this is our own version of it! Weโ€™ve put together a few questions to understand what women are doing with their money. Letโ€™s break the taboo and talk more about finances!

Itโ€™s short, snappy, fun and anonymous.

Relationship Manager. London. 24. In a relationship, not living together.

๐Ÿ’ญ Financial goals:

Short term (1-5 years): To buy my first home within the next 2 years.

Medium term (5-10 years): Get married, have kids and have a job that I am well settled in.

Long term (10 years +): To have the freedom to do what I want, provide for my little ones without worrying about finances.

๐ŸŒŸ Best buy ever: My gel nail kit, it's saved me a lot of money! ยฃ30 every two weeks for nails way too pricey.

๐Ÿ˜ณ Worst buy ever: My Taste card, it wasn't much but I didn't use it once!

๐Ÿ‘€ Things you spend the most money on: Eating out.

๐Ÿ’ธ Salary / Income: ยฃ29,000 base, bonus between ยฃ8k-ยฃ10k annually.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Net worth (what you own vs what you owe, or your assets minus your debts): ยฃ8,000.

๐Ÿ’ป Any side hustles: Not yet unfortunately, but I'm working on it!

๐Ÿ‘› Savings: Yes, some in a flexy savings account, some in a Help to Buy ISA and some in a Stocks and Shares ISA.

๐Ÿ  Home: No, not yet.

๐Ÿ”ฆ Debt: Ignoring student debt, ยฃ8,000.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Investing: Pension and ISAs.

๐Ÿ˜Œ Pension: Yes.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Insurances: I think I get free travel insurance with my Amex.

โšก What is money for you? A means to an end.

๐Ÿš€ What is financial independence for you? Always having a safety net in case things go wrong

THANK YOU!
